This book is The Broadman Bible Commentary Volume 8, containing the General Articles of Matthew-Mark. Published by the Broadman Press in 1969, this is an excellent volume for those looking to expand their understanding of the first two New Testament Gospels or for the theologian trying to complete his set. Bound as a cloth hardback, this volume of The Broadman Bible Commentary is a beautiful work, and looks great on the shelf! Very minor fraying is visible on the corners, as well a small bump at the bottom of the binding. Nonetheless, the gold lettered gilding is boldly evident on the exterior binding and provides a wonderful contrast to the dark red cloth. The pages are very tight, as well as clean from all marking except for some small penciled lettering on the front flyleaf. The book is in very good condition, and would be considered new if not for the publication year! (1969)
